ABOUT US

Mission

The Training and Information Network (TRAIN) committee is a consortium of service providers who collaborate and share training and staff development resources in order to best meet the needs of those served by community based organizations.

MORE ABOUT US

We are a network of training and human resources professionals who meet regularly to exchange ideas, share best practices, and address challenges related to professional development. This collaborative forum provides an opportunity to seek feedback, discuss barriers, and explore solutions on topics such as employee orientation, training needs assessments, cross-departmental collaboration, training resources and curriculum development, online learning, and other workforce development initiatives.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide support and increase collaboration among training professionals.

  • Develop expertise on increasing information and knowledge on training delivery.

  • Promote resource sharing among training professionals.

  • Maintain standards of practice within staff development and training systems.

  • Provide development opportunities that enhance knowledge, develop skills and enrich community-based organizations.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Strengthening our Workforce

The annual conference focuses on behavioral health services which informs the practice and service delivery of over 130 participants, while also offering CEUs.

In the past year, we focused on Organizational Wellness and Functioning. We were privileged to have keynote speaker, Dr. Isaias Mercado, panelists, and amazing presenters sharing their wealth of knowledge on current initiatives, sustaining capacity, and creative brainstorming in an effort to increase morale, retention, improving service delivery.

RESOURCE FAIR

One Step at a Time

With our TRAIN mission always in mind, we strive to find new ways to partner and increase networking opportunities, both for our team, and for community stakeholders!  This year we featured a resource fair to assist in providing more information to participants who attended the conference.
